A rubbish story by Kieran Poole

Rubbish Idea began life as Rubbish Snooker. What do you do when you purchase an outdoor snooker table for your garden? You cover it with litter, of course.

Because when your best mate questions why you bother picking up other people’s rubbish and challenges you to fill the entire table with littered lids, you do it.

So we reckoned a year’s worth of my litter hunting efforts would do the trick, but we were way off!

Just one month later, the baize was covered with 1,603 lids producing a mosaic myriad of colour. Born was Rubbish Snooker.

What was I to do next? Pop them all in a recycling bag for bin day? Nope. I decided I would attempt to become an “artist”.

Soon came Rubbish Idea with invitations into schools and workplace to share the story.
